If you prefer to stay dry, head on over to The Track for a heart-pounding go-kart race on their three-tiered wooden track—or take a spin on their classic track, try the bumper rides, or maybe even attempt a bungee-jump or skyflight.

For a little dose of history, take a look at America’s largest collection of Southeastern Indian artifacts at the Heritage Park and Cultural Center, an exhibit of 10,000 years of prehistoric tribes. Or bring the family to the Emerald Coast Science Center, where you can let your kids enjoy interactive fun designed to stimulate their imaginations. Marvel at the underground depths of the Florida Caverns, the state’s only limestone caverns.

See plenty of marine wildlife such as penguins, sea turtles, seals, and sharks before enjoying a hilarious game of soccer brought to you by a team of dolphins and Florida’s Gulfarium, the oldest marine park in the state. Then check out the U.S. Air Force Armament Museum and test your mettle in the fighter cockpit simulator that puts you right in the middle of some of the greatest dogfights of the last four wars.

You and family won’t want to miss The Zoo in nearby Gulf Breeze, which enjoys a petting zoo and a 50-acre African veldt as well. There’s plenty of things to do and see for everyone along the Emerald Coast!
